the skin we live in ...

on saturday, i went to see a staged production of Underwear: The Musical. it was a fun romp about a futuristic underwear modeling company and an evil boss who controlled her models by the special undergarments she created. i hadn't been to see any musical theatre productions in quite a long time so it was refreshing to get out and see art in another form express itself in funny, bawdy, and extremely talented ways.

i photographed one of the guys (justin) from the show a few days before i went to see the performance. he didn't have many lines in the musical, but he certainly gave some of the best character acting in facial expressions i saw all night. when we shot prior to the performance, he put on a show of relaxed poise that reminded me why i liked shooting him the first time back in 2010. here's justin up close and personal without the musical accompaniment.
